Cooking out under the stars

Spent an amazing night with my family under the stars 🙂

While I grilled hot dogs for everyone else… I cooked Henry and Lisa’s Wild Alaskan Salmon for me and my sis! Also had homemade potato fries with garlic powder, onion powder, pepper, cayenne pepper and a bit of salt. With that, some Vegetarian baked beans.  We also used Tina’s broccoli recipe, but instead of broccoli we used green beans!

And Gina used Namaste gluten-free brownie mix to make these lovely creatures! She added 1/3 cup of chocolate chips lol These are probably the best brownies I’ve ever had =D Thanks G!

Set the mood with some tiki torches! lol FIRE!! >=D

Have a good night! Be back tomorrow 🙂

Breakfast=Dessert?! I like the sound of that…

Good morning! This is Gina here (the “Oats” part of the blog name…lol).

Today’s definitely looking like a good one…I think Oh She Glows’ Banana Soft Serve Vegan Overnight Oats have something to do with that =D

Fun Fact #1: When I use the food processor in the morning, I do it in my room so I don’t wake anyone else up…

Here are the oats, first time out of the fridge since last night:

They were spilling over the edge when I mixed them!

I used chocolate protein powder and added cacao nibs before eating =] This tasted WAY too good to not be dessert!!! It really does taste like soft serve ice cream!

Unfortunately, the rest of my day looks like this:

Because of a silly thing called a “final exam” which happens to take place tonight =/

Something fun to check out:

There is an online writer’s challenge called “Story A Day May” (the name pretty much explains it) where writers aim to write a story (any length) every day this month.

There are some really great authors over there, so if you like to read and have some free time, go check it out! My personal goal is write 21 stories this month, and you can find my stories at storyaday.org/eclecticflgirl

Talk to ya later! [[Jer. 31:3]]

First Post: One of many!!

So! Me and my sister FINALLY got around to creating a food blog!

We’ll be taking turns posting meals, workouts, anything random that comes to mind, etc.

One of us is in high school and the other is in college. We spend a lot of time together working out, cooking and being stupid. And now you get to hear all about it! Aren’t you special 🙂 Anyway, enough with introductions you’ll get to know us through our posts. And we’d LOVE to read your comments! Even if its just one line, we would really like to get to know our readers ❤

Starting with tonight’s dinner! “Lets go Asian tonight! Life will still be there tomorrow!” We had Oxygen magazine’s Double-Duty Ginger Chicken which included sautéed chicken, garlic, ginger, onions, bell pepper and broccoli in soy sauce over quinoa.

It was super tasty and it all flowed really well together! Though soy sauce makes my stomach hurt.. I would have this a hundred times over!

Dessert was the Fitnessista’s new Perfect Protein Pancake! They had the best pancake texture ever! We only had plain brown rice protein powder, so they were less tasty than if we had used vanilla protein. We’re so making these again in our near future x)

(I added chocolate chips =D and milk.. i love milk.. )

See you tomorrow. Peace and Love! 1 Corinthians 6:19
